For Berlin Schools, Kitas & Kindergartens

We create unique educational workshops for schools, Kitas and Kindergartens across Berlin, working with all ages from toddlers to teenagers. Every session connects directly to your curriculum or classroom goals. Sessions also work well for CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) settings, where art becomes a hands-on way to build English or German vocabulary alongside creative skills.

Choose from open-concept shadow play LABs out of the suitcase, toddler-led messy paint play, graphic print & wild drawing LABs, experimental analogue/pinhole photography, or paper-cut animation. Creative Mindfulness through Journalling can also be run as a single workshop or an ongoing programme, helping alleviate stress in the classroom.

Workshops by Age Group

Toddlers & Kita (ages 2–6): Sensory, toddler-led messy paint play and open-ended shadow LABs straight from the suitcase — no right answers, just curious hands-on exploration.

Primary School (ages 6–11): Pop-up immersive creative play spaces at your school — building art installations and shadow play — plus simple, fun and playful gel plate printing to make graphic prints together. We also offer split pin animation workshops exploring storytelling and graphic character design. Works are created to link directly to classroom topics (Berliner Rahmenlehrplan, PYP) and spark storytelling through making.

Secondary School (ages 11–18): Graphic gel plate printing for standalone prints, as well as part of fashion design, mixed media art on wood, and creative mindfulness through journalling — supporting both curriculum goals and student wellbeing.

Practical Details:

Group size: up to 12 children with one facilitator, or up to 24 (a full class) with two facilitators
Duration: a double lesson (90 minutes) is needed for a proper hands-on session, with half-day and full-day options also available for bigger projects
Location: we bring everything to your school, Kita, or classroom — no need to travel

For School Trips to Berlin:

Bringing a school or college group to Berlin? We create a site-specific art adventure just for you — turning your students into unconventional tourists and art journallers exploring the city through a creative lens.

Past projects have included making wearable viewfinders to explore the city, creating artist postcards and badge souvenirs to send or take home from Berlin, and exploring making zines using graphic gel plate printmaking and collage inspired by the city's street art and architecture.

In Berlin's Museums

We offer bespoke experiences that encourage thoughtful dialogue with exhibitions and current themes, for all ages — exploring how art can inspire hope, build connection, shift perspectives, and pose challenging questions about what it means to be human.

We've regularly collaborated with the Berlinische Galerie, providing Family Art LABs. We have made hand made props and badge making pop ups, to help young families and school groups access and engage with the exhibitions.

Sketchbook Circle: CPD for Art Teachers

little art is proud to be the Berlin host and collaborator for Sketchbook Circle, a CPD programme for art and design teachers — giving them the chance to step back into their own art practice, inspired directly by Berlin's museums and culture.

We hosted the first Sketchbook Circle residential in Berlin in 2019, bringing UK & international art teachers together for hands-on making inspired by the city's museums and street art — wearable viewfinders, artist postcards, graphic printmaking and collage. A second collaboration with Sketchbook Circle is now in planning for 2027, continuing this work in Berlin.
